Manual for Microtec MT8 for RB25DET

Hi,

DOes any have the wiring manual for a Microtech MT8 for RB25DET???? I never got it with mine when i bought it.

You cannot get a specific manual for a "rb25". Your answer is that you didnt get one was because you have to pay extra for it. I think its $25 from microtech

SilLine.. ** ALL ** microtechs are sold with with the appropriate wiring diagrams for each setup.. UNLESS you have bought it through a shop who has kept it from you.
Check with who you bought it from for they might be keeping it from you and are anticipating themselves to do the wiring for you.
If they wont help you, ring Microtech (02) 9808 5233 ask for Dom or Rob and tell them who you bought it from and they kept the wiring diagram from you.
And No microtech dont charge $25 for a wirng diagram.. in fact they'll fax it to you for free.

P.S You should have been sold a MTX-8 not MT-8 for a RB25DET.. for the MT-8 cannot support MULTI-COIL Firing. Check this with your supplier aswell.

I spoke to microtech and they are going to send me a new loom and wiring diagram. That should sort out all my problems.

EPA the mt-8 can run multi coil setups, it just uses the factory igniters where as the MTX-8 uses its own ignaters, but to do it properly you should use a MT-12 on a 6cyl

i have a L- MT8 on my RB25 which fires the 6 coils through the factory ignitor. i also have the laptop software which has the manual in Microsoft word

is it the laptop version MT8? on your wires on the loom, there should be little white tags on the wiring. how many injector and ignitor wires are coming out. injectors will be orange with a trace and ignitors will be grey with a trace. let me know

I have:

3 x Red Power injector wires
1 x Orange
1 x Yellow with black
1 x Orange with black

6 x Grey with various stripes for Ignitors

I don't think that it is a laptop version, however i am looking at upgrading it to a lappy version.

sorry about ther questions...will you be installing this yourself. if so i can draw you a diagram to piggyback it to the original skyline computer so as to maintain all your features. you have to tell me what model the car is, and it seems that the computer is the same as mine was. if you only bought it recently it should be laptop ready..all the new ones are apparently

I have found the problem. The microtech isn't suppling 12v to the crank angle sensor. So i have used another 12v feed and it started but is only running on 5 cylinders. So i guess i will have to send it back to Microtech again.

Thanx any way, but that was how it was just wired in, and i have had nothing but trouble, so i have ditched the factory computer and i am just going to run the mircotech by it self.

if it was piggy backed, the microtech doesnt supply power to the CAS, it just picks up a signal off the original wiriing. before you ditch the microtech i will send you the piggy back diagram for the MT8. your miss could also be a coil not the microtech. ill send it within an hour

try looking at this before you rip it out and send it back. this setup retains all of your factory features. you might have a problem with your A/C and HICAS if you delete your standard computer. i know your boost guage and even your speedo may not work because they are electronic. let me know how you go. chech out your email

EPA officer, the question asks about a wiring manual. So you take it as a wiring diagram, I took it as manual.

Get over it, its a microtech
