Toe in and out = +ve and -ve

On a typical digital wheel alignemnt readout does toe in appear as a negative or positive figure?? I always assumed negative, but when I gave my latest wheel alignment specs to the workshop, the report card afterwards said -2mm and I asked for 2mm toe out?

Simple - wanted a second opinion, but have struggled to find anyone who knows, which led me to post here and see if any 'experts' emerge

Check your toe with a tape measure ;)
