Okay, ive tried two sets of lowered springs on my car and theyre too damn low (kings and whitelines).

As i dont want to buy another set of ready made springs and find out theyre too low too, the only options i have left are to get custom made springs, or get my springs reset (25mm higher)

Is resetting your springs dodgy like cutting springs?

I can get them reset for around $60,
or get new Jumboz springs for $135 (customised to your requested height).

If resetting is dodgy, ill definetly get new springs, but if it isnt, i might as well get them reset.

So does re-setting springs compromise the quality of the spring at all?

Any input is appreciated,
Michael

I've had my springs reset in the past and they worked great, they were also a little stiffer as well as lowering the car the exact amount I wanted. I only got my springs reset as I was selling the car and it looked like crap with big wheels and standard height otherwise I woul dof gone for new springs.

If they are reset to the point where they are loose in the strut then it would be dodgy, but if not definelty go for it if you are only after looks. Don't do it on old springs either >100,000k's

Thanks for the advice hoonboy, i actually want to RAISE the springs 25mm!

how much did it cost you to get done? ill be taking them out and installing them myself (for the bloody 7th or 8th time!!!)

The springs are new too, ive done about 5000kms on them.

from memory it was $65 a pair, I removed them myself.

Raising shouldn't be an issue, they will just think you have a 4WD!

yeah thats the price i got quoted, but a search of various melbourne car forums got me a general price of 150 per pair?

ill do a ring around monday for some prices.
