View Full Version : GTi-R Meet and Greet (Canberra Region)
Hey hey....
This goes out to all the Pulsar GTi-R owners in the Canberra region, we (Roberto and myself) were thinking of maybe a get together of all the GTi-R owners in the area. Being of a somewhat umm... limited numbers, we propose a "get together". We were thinking of a BBQ or something and then a mad dash through the cotter or something similar  .
We're also posting this on the GTiR-OZ forum on Yahoo groups to get some intreast. You can either just post back here, or email.

Done.
Hi all,
I was speaking to Dandin, Brian & Josh about this today..............
We think a BBQ and thrash through the cotter is in order. All welcome & I'm
open to time & date suggestions ( preferably weekend ). I figure there are a
least 7 R's in Canberra now so I don't wanna see any lame
excuses..............we may even allow our interstate cousins along.
If there is enough interest in this maybe a trackday or similar could be on
the cards.
Hope to hear from you all.

mate ah, no worries, but anyone who loses needs to push their 'R' home I reckon cos my motor is almost absolutely stock, so don't expect much...

It looks as if we have picked a bad time of year with many events on, and long weekends.:(
eg
Grand Prix 1-3rd
Wakefield park drags 9th
Canberra Hillclimb 10th
Need for speed weekend 16-17th
Canberra day 18th
So how does everyone feel about a more relaxed get together on friday night 1st and we can then gauge peoples interest for a BBQ, or cruising together to one of the above meets.
Let me know people
Roberto
Well folks....I got a little bored today, and decided to go for a blast through the afore mentioned Cotter. Bloody fantastic run. I went out vai cotter road, the just before the actually Kiosk/Picnic area, I turned up towards Brindabella/Uriarra. It's a fantastic run through there, twisty, turny fast sweeping corners etc. I arrived at Uriarra, and then headed back towards Canberra. Not content with just once, I then headed the same way, but continued on through the Cotter picnic grounds and out again, made a brief stop at Tidbinbella (DST) and then headed right through to Tuggers. Marvellous Run, bloody fantastic. There were a lot of bikers, but some cars that passed by me on the other side of the road through the mountains were : 180SX, 200SX, several RX-7's. :)
Great drive. Although it would be a lot better with 5 (possible 7) GTiR's with me next time.....Let's organise something.....Fast.
I'm flying down to Melbourne on Saturday morning for the GrandPrix, so lets nut out a time/date and do this.

Sound good to me:)
Did you see any cops?
I vote we meet friday nite with a view to a get together on the 10th
Roberto
None. Although there was this one ute, and as I crested a hill doing......well....let's just say very much in excess of 160km/h, i saw it, and saw blue and red on the roof, jammmmmmed on the brakes, only to realise that they were blue and red trailbikes. :D
But apart from that....nothing. I had a clear run all through the mountains. I also agree with the Friday meet with the aim for the 10th March(My B'Day, so I can't be out all day). I suggest somewhere public..like..Braddon for example. Only because it seems to be the place to meet, either that or somewhere like the Carpark down by the museum/library/technology centre at around 9-9.30ishpm.
