i have a toyota celica sx 86 model with a 2L twin cam engine.I was just thinking bout and engine swap but im not sure wat other engines will fit into my engine bay without to many mods.Any help would be greatful both turbo and atmo engines please. cheers

Your car currently runs a 3SGE yeah? I'd assume then that the 3SGTE from the GT-FOUR would bolt straight up to your gearbox and engine mounts.

Don't forget to fit a suitable fuel pump & upgrade your brakes. say "hello" to torque steer!

Oh yeah, you may have to look at the clutch too. Ive done a similar conversion before in a laser, BP SOHC -> BP DOHC turbo. The turbo flywheel and clutch wouldn't fit inside the FWD gearbox so we had to use the SOHC flywheel and an upgraded button clutch. We did try the stock clutch but as soon as it came on boost it just slipped, just as it would in your case.

sorry guys not really sure on wat type of engine its got under the hood cause dads got it for 2 weeks. will it bolt up to the engine mounts and wat other things will i have to consider to make this conversion happen?Im prob after an atmo engine cause im on my p's and cant ensure a turbo but at the same time i want to beat my mates off the lights

I think that there is a super hot 3SGE produced in japan from the altezza?? Bill Sherwood would probably know more on that one...
