What is the best setup for 2 10" subs in the 200sx, I want to keep as much boot space as possible and keep the spare where it is. The subs are Orion cobalts these will also be connected to an amp, any ideas would be greatful thankyou.

Smallest possible box would be to use both subs in an isobaric sealed box. You could accomplish this using a box as small as 0.5-0.7cf, however the downside is you only get as much bass as if you were using one of the subs.

Otherwise, use spec sheets for the subs to determine what size compromise would be good for your type of music and go from there. Prior experience shows that in limited space configurations you'd have both in a sealed isolated chamber box of about 1cf per sub, and mount it against the back seat with subs facing to the rear of the car. This should provide enough space to still have access to the spare.

This is a box that has 2 x 10inch subs in it in the back of a lancer (small enough boot to start with). Rates bout 130dB, not bad, and not losing too much quality from the small box etc. The amp is on the side panels but the middle section has the subs behind it facing the rear seat. PM me if you need some help. It's bigger than it looks in the photo, you can see a fair chuck of wheel arch in the corner which lets you know how compact it is.
