View Full Version : What do you put a VH45DE in?
Not that this plan is serious or anything.... just speculating
What donor vehicle would you put one of these mighty fine engines in? Im not sure on physical size of these engines, obviously the smaller the car the better off it'd be anyone got any ideas?
Also is there a manual gearbox this thing can go with? :)
I'd like to put a high-tech Jap bent eight into an old-school Aussie car... how about a VH45DE into an old Charger? That would piss off the bogans no end! :D

I'm seroiusly thinking about the VG30DET in my Val. But even without measuring I have a feeling it would be a very tight fit width wise, and I don't want to cut the old girl. V8 would be even better. Ultimate Cruiser. :D

Yes you can't race a house!:D
Hmm VH45de, maybe a zed, engine bay might be a bit narrow, how bout a aussie delivered maxima. Or umm a Patrol :D
I wish everyone wouild stop talking about swapping these engines and actually swap one!!!!
Im thinking into a Datto 1600 :D
AND a 93+ 180SX
Series 1,2,3 XJ6 Jag. swb series 1 would be my choice, make a change from usual chev swap. Would suit character of the car too, refined.

Now were talking.... i'll have a VH45DE powered garadge floor :D
It'd be a mammoth job regardless of donor vehicle im starting to gather ;)
Are they hard to get in OZ? how much do they go for ?
From what i've heard they can go as low as $2000. I think they're on par pricewise with the Lex 4L quad cam.
