If you want something VERY good, contact Trevor Campbell at Custom Exhausts. If you want something cheap, go somewhere else.

I got mine done for my Supra by Rob Bliss Exhausts. Quite cheap, very effective and very quiet.

Custom Exhausts = excellent but $$$

True.. But for the quality of work, I still reckon the value is great.

From what Jon on here tells me CES do a beautiful double dump pipe for the 200 (and others)..saw a pic and was a work of art....budget about $700 for it though!!

CES----> jeez, you guys must be unlucky... either that, or my mate is just DAMN lucky! conceeded, yeah i went to Trevor and got quotes and he's a little too pricey for me, but he did a full Apexi system for my friend's 200sx, including the funky looking double dump pipe... total cost was $1100! not too bad, eh?!!!!
lucky bastard... i had the opportunity to buy this system off his car (3mths old) when he sold the car, and he only wanted $300 for it!!!!:( damn insurance wouldn't cover me for it... to say i was dissapointed is like saying the pope is catholic

point of this post: yes, i too recommend CES. although, expect a fairly long wait... last time i was there, he was booked up for 6 weeks solid!

Would you drive a Daewoo or wait six weeks for a Porsche?

Most people on here seem to talk about what they are "gonna" do for an enternity. A month or so for the best pipes around is nothing.

:wtf:hey coyote.... all i said was to 'expect' a wait... i didn't say anything about it NOT BEING WORTH THE WAIT:confused:. in fact, my point was that CES's work is obviously damn good, as they aren't exactly short of customers. and i would have got him to do the work i wanted, but i simply couldn't wait 6 weeks (the car wasn't drivable without this being repaired)

sooooo, lets start over again. CES do fuggin great work, but all the tightarses out there (including me! :D) have to also expect that quality doesn't come cheap. and on top of this, it ain't a midas store, where they can throw on a 'zorst 5 mins after you walk in....

if ur after something a bit cheaper (and possibly a shorter wait) try Right Price Exhausts at slacks creek. i've had an exhaust done there, and a friend recently had them supply and fit a dump + front pipe for his R34. both were satisfactory.
however, CES is still top of the pile.

cheers

Dorift,

No need for the :wtf:

I wasn't having a dig, just saying the same thing as you basically. The difference between Trevor's work and the others is Daewoo and Porsche stuff though. Not bagging the others, Trev is that good.

What do people think of the twin dump pipe that uniqueautosports sell, they are $490 stainless steel in 3". Here is a pic if it worked

coyote... sorry dude... I thought you were having a go at me... misunderstanding there ;)

as for that dump pipe from unique, well, from memory, that looks pretty much the same as the one that Trev makes up. although, its only a photo, so theres no way that i can compare the quality.

looks good though... i might have to get me one after all :p

How hard would it be to make it yourself?

Interesting idea... but the only flaw i see is making a 'flange' for the turbo, but then again you could use some thick steel plate and drill/weld to that.

*thinks of more DIY stuff :D *

Guys take another look at that pic of the dump pipe from Unique Auto. It has, what i believe to be, a CES branding stamp on it.

All this double dump $700 works of art are a waste of time on street cars

Get something done in mandrel bent thick walled mild steel then coated or even painted in high temp paint…a thick flange and 2 sensors bosses (one for stock oxy sensor and one for maybe some pressure/temp testing later) and u got yourself a $300
dump at most

and by the way cheap doesn’t always mean shit…sometimes the guy has less overheads in his biz and can undercut every1else due to smart business practices

I'm with Shifty, I've had my last 3 cars done through Rob Bliss and none have had any troubles. I have also heard great things about Trevor as well as bad which you always seem get in business but I stuck With Rob Bliss because he hasn't done a thing wrong with me and you can normally get to him with in a week to get stuff done. He also seems very honest and forthcoming with any info he can provide for you on the differnt types of Zorsts he can make for ya.

Both would be good recommendations I would say. If Rob couldn't do it then Trev probably can from point of view.
