I think I found the little box thingy that controls indicator flashing in my cordia, and replaced if from a spare from another car but the indicators still dont flash, even with all the bulbs in etc. Do they work off bulb wattage as well or maybe I am missing something? They do flash on hazard tho.

ive got the exact same problem - tell us how you go and what the problem was :)
If you are sure the replacement flasher unit is good, then it will be wiring to/from/in the indicator stalk, since power to the lights goes through this path. You can test the flasher unit by hooking up terminal B to 12V+, E to ground, and L to +ve terminal on a 21W globe. Flashers are designed to run 4 globes, any less globes and the smaller output load on the flasher causes it to flash faster and it will eventually burn out. This is why sometimes you see cars with hyper speed strobe indicators ;).
