I ve done the 2.6l including the 5 speed gearbox converstion and it is a straight drop in to the galant and it has a hole lot of power especially when you go from the 1.6 to the 2.6 is wicked

also what is the widest tyres that i can put on them?
is it worth getting a ford 9" diff and gettin it chopped?

Only go 9" if you are going all out. ie EFI turbo big HP big box etc.

A better option for a milder car would be a Borg Warner or Hilux diff.

yea i have pics but have to get them scanned in to computer to be posted will do next week

the tyres I had on the car where 13/50/205 yea a wide tyre but no guard rolling needed
new pedders shocks in the back not much can be done to rear as they are leaf spring ( well unless you want to work with them )
adn I cut the spring in the front ( yea I know I was young and dumb for cutting them but hay it was low and cool)

its all good

Why dont you put the GC or GD wagon complete back end into your GB.
I put the lot into a GA sedan, got the rear leaves lowered 1 inch, put Toyota Hilux Shocks in, bought Scorpion front struts, cut the springs down a tad and then put sigma 14 inch alloys all round.
The thing stopped axle tramping, stopped heaps better and handled like it was on rails.
BTW the wagon diffs are a lower ratio and a fair bit bigger and stronger.
Cheers

Did you retain stock spring mounting points...???
Howd you get the shock in as i know there at a different angle to the sedans....
the sedans got 3.89 diff....what are the wagons meant to have???
Was it axle tramping bad previously as mine is realy bad...like the whole car jumping up and down and hearing the diff/gearbox banging against something.....

Got any pics

Is that a problem beside changing the wheel track(illegal)?
