Nearly stolen: GTiR

My dad's Pulsar white GTiR was parked in the Sydney Fish Markets last Sunday night.

When he went back to the car, it was not where he left it. He looked around for a while and found it about 100m from where it had been parked.

Both locks were damaged, the door frame bent, passenger's window smashed, a dent on the roof, where some fat guy had stood. The stereo was also removed but left in the car...weird???

The theives were too stupid to get past the immobiliser...luckily.

Immobiliser just had them buggered. I think they pulled the stereo out looking for the alarm

Mate i will ask around and see if i can find who was responsible. 4WD turbo's are a fav. to steal around Glebe. Hopefully i can find the culprit for ya.

There's no way in hell i'd park it anywhere !!

It's just not one of those cars that you do normal things in like drive to work, shopping etc.

Sorry - but I hope he learns something from this, he was lucky as imports are the flavour of the month with organised re-birthing gangs.

how on earth do they rebirth a GTiR ?
i cant imagine plate swapping would be terribly easy on a rare import like an R

I think it's pretty impossible to rebirth an import unless they send it over seas.

Porbably just would've stripped it....or robbed a few backs with it

im from the area and my car got broken into by bending both doors, the took crap like cds but id bet its the same doods. Glebe police station should be able to help

Glebe police station prob got more calls on same day, maybe caught someone on same day? btw seen a black gtir large chromies and p plates on gipps street friday.

Sorry to break it to you people, but the police do NOTHING. Even if they had evidence and could do something, they would be rather out booking us for having the incorrect light globes installed, or something rediculous like that. i have on several occasions needed the police, and they have just wiped their hands of me.
One instance my car was stolen and the thieves used my credit card at every servo within 10 kms. i wanted to look at the cameras in the servo's to see if i could recognise the bastards, the police asked me to stop bothering them!!!!!
they seriously said that to me!!

So if anything happens, take it into your own hands that way something will get done!!!!
