View Full Version : piazza turbo in a tg gem
hi all. im trying to sell my gemi and am having trouble for some reason and was thinking of just doing a conversion if no one buys the thing soon. im looking for something relativly easy to do as im no super mechanic and am planning to do most the work myself. is the piazza the best option? anything else easy? how much am i looking at to do it??

Piazza is basically a bolt in proposition. The only thing you may need to do is clearance around the dizzy near the firewall.
Alternatively if you have a pretty good engine in your Gem already, you can swap all the manifolds etc onto the G engine, as they bolt on. The standard ecu should cope with this no probs.
Piazza engines are getting harder to find these days from what I have seen, but are pretty cheap, approx $1500 MAX for everything including the standard pissy cooler.
If you use the Piazza engine you MAY need to swap the engine mounts from left to right and vice versa, but I can't remember.
Have fun !!! :D :D :D
