Turbo Shaft Movement?

i was wondering what kind of play u would expect from a turbo that is new? or rebuilt...


let say u are looking into the intake and moving the centre of the turbine left to right... is it ok to have a small amount of movement there?

the front plate has not yet been tightened into position, would this resolve the "play" in the shaft?

There should be little or no axial movment.

yes you can expect alittle play side to side looking in to the turbo as long as the blade doesnt touch the cover but you should have no movement front to back !
