T3 High flow turbo external wastegate

Can i disconnect the waste gate on these FJ20 .63 rear housing suckers and run a external one the intercooler pipe ? Ive seen this done before and want to do it to mine.

It is a highflow t3 and I was told a external gate could be better ?

more power can be made by using an external wastegate...


but diconecting the actuator rod and doing it that way would be something i would not do....i probably would run a different turbo and do custom manifold as such

i just bought a TO4e BB turbo and im getting a Ext wastegate and equal length manifold made to suit....

this is definately the best optionand BIG HP figures can be produced...

a friend 'match ported' his manifold to his head and had good results....also don't try and weld to a cast manifold or turbo housing..
