View Full Version : new tyres
Hi guys,
Jus wondering what would be a reasonable price for FM901s? I have been getting mixed quotes from everyone i have called.
The best quote i have gotten so far is $240 per tyre. (215/45/17) Does anyone know where else in the sydney area i could try? How much would these usually retail for?
cheers :)
Tempe Tyres are meant to be quite cheap.....at least, they were for the Falkens a mate of mine bought.
$240 is about right for cheapest quoted prices for 225 and 235/45/17. Don't know about 215. Some quote as high as $270-290 for 235s.
Then again, I live in Melbourne!:D

I got mine for $217 each...but in 205/40/17's
from Australia's Best...
I think its the same for the 45's.
Just paid $176 for 195/55/15 which was the cheapest in Canberra. Was quoted as high as $205.
Asked about 215/45/17 for my WRX and was told $260 from the same place, but things here seem to be more expensive than most other places (grumble). $217 seems like a bargain. For $172 saving I would almost drive to Sydney.

yeah, I was quoted about $250 from Bob Jane but asked around.
$217 was a bargain, compared to everywhere else I asked...and I only got the tyres just over a month ago..so it wasn't that long ago.

Damn...tyres are much cheaper in the east compared to WA. Anyway, just got some fm901's this morning. All I can say is its bloody awesome!! My previous tyres (Kumhos Ectas) pretty much rendered 1st and 2nd gear useless on boost....now it just grips and goes....very happy :)
