hey guys, i just got two 15's and i need some help.
this may be a long post but i would appreciate peoples opinions.
ok,
1. which is better, two seperate enclosures or one enclosure. should i have them ported or unported in each situation. i want heaps of steady deep base, but a fairly good responsiveness and punch (i know 15s are not good for punch)

2. what would the best amp be to run the pair of 15's within a reasonable rage, say $600?

3. if i have the subs one each side, angled towards the centre sort of like below
/ \
will the sound waves interfere with each other and cause destruction, making the sound like shit.
is it better to have them both facing straight to the back or doesnt it matter. I guess since they are putting out the same frequency, they wont interfere with each other, but on the other hand i think they will because of the angle they will hit at.
glad im not a physacist!!

i appreciate anyones opinions/suggestions.
i didnt realise till i got the subs home either, how f@#king big the subs were and how much boot space i wont have with the bloody things!
Paul.

before you go and decide how the subs are going to be placed work out the size of the box first,15 usually need a largish box so work that out first then go from there.
give us some specs on the subs, cant work out a box without themand you cant make the best decision on the amp either.

they are tsw384c subs. i will be using the reccomended box size, and am opting for unported due to the lower power required to drive them.

If your amp is 4 channel and you are going to bridge the subs, use a 2 chamber box. If you are going to use a monoblock amp or 2 channel amp (where the subs are controlled by one gain control) use a single box, but re-inforce the shite out of it.
My cousin has just installed 2 15" Clarion's in his Camira wagon and he uses a Clarion 4150 Amp, which is a 4 channel bridged down to get 420wrms per sub and he runs a 2 chamber box. The amp only cost 650bucks and the setup goes hard as hell. He don't have much boot space yet but he doesn't care. Are they dual voice coil subs??? Have a look at hifidirect.com.au and have a look at the Lanzar amps coz they go freakin hard and don't cost that much. Cheers

sweet, thanks heaps dude.
i currently have a clarion amp, and it is good, so i might take a look at the clarion 4150 amp.
The subs are only single voice coil. THanks for your help.
Paul.
