Yes thats right, some lousy individual flogged my clear indicators off my car on Friday night.

It was parked out the front of my girlfriends house, in a quiet suburb.

The thing that really made me furious was the amount of damage the pricks did to my paint work. Looks like they used a big screwdriver to pop them out.

For fuks sake, they are worth like $40 to buy .... are they really worth stealing and ****ing my paint work up for ?

The bastards didnt touch my valve caps .... I would have thought they would have been the first to go.

Damn that sucks Chad... bad enough the low lifes had to steal the indicators but fark your paint up is another thing.. they VT's ? if so i thought they pretty much just popped out anyway when you push them sideways. with any luck a truck cleaned them up as they were laughing amongst themselves how clever they are at ripping off some indicators

i know the feeling. Except some F*#ker stole my standard ones out of my VP. If they were clear VT ones it would have been different but standard ones???

I was on lygon St, and there was this guy with a little bag thing full of clear indicators stolen from VT and VX's...

He was telling us that all u do is push em to one side and pull em out.

He was also selling them for $10 a pair.

He also told us that he walked down the street and got all the cars with clear indicators.

I think he found a way to fund his drug problem.

and you did nothing to stop him or at least notify the police of his actions ? give a description of him and where he was heading etc ????

He was a drugged up ****. We werent gonna get slashed over some indicators. Plus there arent many cops roaming around 3am.

So long ago now, i dun remember what he looked like.

I know how you all feel.

I just had two badges taken off my car on Tuesday morning from the work carpark. I work at a school, and they can't exactly always be there to ensure kids aren't messnig round i the parking lot, but I'm still pissed off.

It's just petty. Luckily they didn't leave huge scratch marks when taking them off... only a couple of 1cm lines

All I can say to you rattlehead is I hope some scum sucking thief steals something of yours and people who see it do nothing...

A simple call to the cops would've done...:wtf:

Hmmmm yeah great thats a really mature thing to say...

So lets say he called the cops, what then? "uh sir, theres a junkie here with a bag full of stolen clear indicators on lygon street, he looks kinda dangerous, i think you should come down and arrest him".

Cops would think it is a prank, or end up comming past 2 hrs later as they do.

Chances are these guys were lucky that they didnt get knifed for a few dollars and some old tatty business cards.

I think you should think hard before you type, and also take a look at things from a realistic prospective.

Police have better things to do than to chase after an indicator theif. If he was stealing cars then perhaps it might get them off their asses for some action.

one thing is doing your part to stop crime, another is putting your life or health on the line for a bag of clear indicators.

I was lucky he had like needles and this like sharp screwdriver which I still have cut in my leg form. But the cops didn't belive me untill like 1am. but he ****ed the right panel and I had just finshed Putting 2 coats of wax on for a mate.

Thanks Darkstar...

and monarodevilyel, for that comment, I hope u get slashed on the side of the street and people walk past you, coz u got too heroic with a drug **** trying to fund his addictions.

Maybe a call to the cops would save ur life, but a call to the cops over some indicators would do what??? I reckon if some drunk asshole ran up and down the street kicking the shit outta peoples car panels, cops wouldnt get off their ass to do a thing.

And I know this is true coz my mates motorbike got stolen from inside his garage when we went inside to watch a movie. He called the cops and he was told to come back the next morning to file a report. He did that and the same copper told him that it's prolly too late to do anything about it because '...by now, it would be in pieces and sold in the black market'.

Now tell me what they would do about some indicators?? Please??? You'd be lucky if the cop actually listened to ya.

cops can be really Fuc|<ed sometimes.

maybe someone should steal their cars and see how quickly it gets recovered..... sort of like poetic justice :)

Wouldnt be supprised if the cops, being the cash cow they are, give you a defective notice, even if they find your car in one peice, because of that intercooler, or set of 18s.

unless its going to make them money, then its not going to bother them - unfortunately.

Darkstar, for one thing, you don't need to tell the cops exactly what the person is doing, just that they are vandalising cars.. What would you do,, think, oh well its not my car so I don't give a shit. Its that attitude that allows scum to get away with things because you don't want to get involved....

Rattlehead,, as for your comment, you are obviously fu$%ed in the head.. Why even go talking to someone who is vandalising cars.. At the very least, ignore them and call the cops... The next post will be from you or darkstar going on about how your car was vandalised in broad daylight and no one did anything.. With an attitude like you 2 have,,why even bother going outside,, you might get slashed by a druggo waiting to mug you:mad:

You could always tell the cops that some one is been held up at gun point to make them get there asap

monarodevilyel, things are different in the big city these days.

why choose to get directly involved, when the consequenes outweigh the benefits?

Sure you could notify the police after you have gone to your car and are in the clear, but as for apprehending a drug****ed person? I think ive got better things to do with my health.

monarodevilyel, i think you have some maturity issues with the foul attitude. this section of the forum is about protecting peoples assets, yet you insist on giving people shit and cursing them to get their cars stolen.

get a life, and posibly wake up to the fact that what you talk is utter crap.

WHY dont you go out there and put your finger on crime, walk around your neighborhood all night and day to spot any suspicious activity, if you think your a good smariton, and a crime fighting warrior.

As for people interfering with any car theft or crime, most choose not to get involved in petty things, as it could cost them more than a good samariton feeling.

As for the going outside bit, i do whatever i can to ensure mine, and otherpeoples saftey. there are certain areas that you stay away from, and certain things you dont interfer with. For Example, Smack dealer dealing some heroin in a toilet. You stumble on them because you need to take a piss.
Take your piss and leave, or just leave all together. If you decide to interfer with the law, whats to say that that perticular person didnt remeber who you were, or find out where you are? fact of the matter is, most people, including myself, are willing to participate in major crime fighting, or heroic events, but theres a priority list that you have to go through first. If it means endangeringi your life, others, or the alteriing the general stucture of what you do, then petty things such as drug deals, 'indicator theft' and so forth appear last on the list.

I do not expect anybody to come to my rescue in any case or any event. People have their own lives to go on with, and i cannot, and willnot accept that they will be there 24/7 in any case of public emergancy. i do my bit to help those that i can, but if it means that severe personal injury for something petty, such as steeling a ashtray full of coins, i think theres better things to do with life.

Please, if you feel that you need to retaliate with personal attacks and more cursing, feel free to do so, ill greatly appreciate it :D

Have a nice day!

monarodevilyel
28-08-02, 07:28 PM
what cussing and personal attacks are you talking about.... Read what I posted........ sheesh
I never said to apprehend or confront the person.. What would you do if you came out and found your property vandalised and your next door neighbour said, yep, saw everything, did nothing, didn't want to get involved....

I think you may have missed the point
Police don't really care about small things like this. The Whole System see it as they do it for drugs stop the drugs you stop them. Of course I see it as you stop the uers you have nothing to supply.
Pluss I don't think you understand what goes on BEGA is a nice. Go to Blakctown and you may see someone car jacked unless they know the person they ain't going to jump in. Reason Knife Gun or Lot of them. People in my area don't talk because they don't want there cars stolen or houses damaged (EG shot up)
I am not saying this is good it's not. But this only happens on what you would call BIG Problems. So keep out.
The thing is Little crimes like this, stuff up Policing. So the best thing is to take it into your own hands, kill the guy if you want, he's just another drugo dropped out of school or whatever might be somebodys brother I don't care.
People may say the Attitude of FARK OFF to people may be rude. But I have never had my car stolen or been attcked or anything of the like. I am more likely to helping my friends beat up some 25 year old drugo and his G/F then jump in on a car jacking in George street.

What Darkstar said is right for most people

Nobody I know will come to the Basket ball courts in my area or at night in any area in city for that matter that is 5k's away. I will I walk the streets on my own or with friends at dark because we are not afraid. We seem to make parents and others afraid but we don't do any thing. But Others who look like us do things like
Roselands shopping centre I saw a 14 year old try and steel a car to impress his mates (16). I already called a mates who works security as I some times do. Watched waited then just as he picks the lock, his mates arrive. I watch (I'm in a car). I had a mate who does not like these guys so before the Security comes down he helps them detain these 3 young lossers (if you know the area you know Gold and Silver But remember not all) Ijust watched and helped. The Cops came we left they didn't ask for us because they don't need to.
Nothing to do with drugs but a reason alot of people don't put there lifes at risk.

If my neighbours saw my car getting stolen they would be happy.
If my neighbours car got stollen I would make sure I got subs out of the back and the amps for 20% retail. ;)

All I can say is, if someone died or got seriously injured coz they got involved while something was happening to my car or someone ripped off my indicators...I would not exactly give him a bravery medal, but feel awful that the person put their life at risk over something quite petty. I mean I'd hate my car to be stolen, but I'd hate it worse if someone lost their life over it.

If I saw someone break into someones car and I knew I could kick the guys ass without getting hurt, I'd do that and wait there until the owner came back so he could kick his ass further. But if for some reason the guy was using a knife to pry open a lock, I would not confront and attempt to kick his ass and die, but I will call the cops then (and maybe wait 2 hours for them to arrive) or grab my club lock and club him over the head from behind when he walks off with the goods, or as he drives away I'll throw him out the car and club him then (but I might get killed if I do that).

be cafe full hitting people the fool may get $50000 for it and his mummy may get some as well. Either kill him or make sure you ain't on tape. Then it's " I don't know what you are talking about, it wasn't me".

I gotta say I agree with the phone call thing... I mean why not... a simple call yeah ther is a guy (description) selling stollen goods. If the cops go nab him they do... if not, well thats really not in your power. However what is in you power is to spend the $0.50 and 10 mins to call the cops. Some one was saying oh it's only minor so why stop it... if they are $40 each and he stells a set thats $80... ok so $80 is minor let him go... then he steels 10 sets... thats $800... is that still only minor? At what point does it stop being minor!? Also in he damages the gaurds in the process thats another say $200 in panel work ATLEAST... so like I said at what point does it stop being classed as minor!?

And honestly... is the attitude is a simple oh who cares, why the fark would we even have a thread for stolen indicators.

I got nothing wrong with telling the cops. I ring them up every day becasue I can't get out of my street becasue all these people park and it's too tight. other then the fact it's illegal.
My problem is by the time thay come half have already moved and sometimes they just don't come.

My problem is they just let them go give them a little slap.
After recent court events you may get sued because you alarm went off and shocked the bloke with 12V.

I still think all these drug hungry d###S should all die.
Do drugs and you can't afford it.
Stop or, when you start steeling die.

Think about it half of todays users were educated at school at the age of 13-16 on the effects and reason not to do it.
How dumb do they have to be to do it. It's like young kids today smoking and saying I am addicted.
15 year old girls smoking, "I am addicted". Because I'm Stupid
Well to bad! hope you get cancer. Give me a real excuse.
Look who wins the shareholder of a Tobacco company who does not smoke and lives till 100 with his 18 year old mistress.
