View Full Version : VT Rotors
A friend mentioned to me that DBA are making VT rotors to suit the VS hub can anyone confirm this?
Bishop
do a search in the for sale section for vt rotors and calipers or something, it was talked about in there, I think u need a new cap/cone on the hub to mount the bracket and numerous workshiops make them, but im not exactly sure, just do a search and see what u can come up with.
sorry i forgot to say,
THis doesnt mean the DBA arent making a specialised disc, i was just helping u get ideas of what haed to be done to do the brake upgrade

DBA 040B has the VS spigot diameter (296mm diameter VT )
DBA 046 is the HSV version (328mm x 28mm + VT Caliper and Bracket)
Will these fit on the VN? (VQ Statesman in my case).
The front brakes are woeful, and the nice big VT calipers are plentiful, but the standard disc is different, and the VT rotor uses a different centre.
I'd like to use the VT caliper on my VQ, is the DBA040B the rotor I need?

No!
You have hub type rotors on your VQ. The easiest option would be DBA 019's HSV 330mm x 28mm, but you need 17" wheels.
The DBA 040B's will only fit VR and VS.
dóh! thanks!
I really dont want to go the 17 in wheels, I just dont have enough gold chains to wear when driving my statesman. :p
Any other suggestion for an upgrade? Or should I just stop hi-jacking this thread? :p

290mm rotors with standard wheels is as big as you can go.
The only other option is to use slotted rotors DBA 017 with a good pad.
Chad,
I know whats involved with the mounting of the calipers they are a straight bolt up but the hub is smaller on the VS than the VT and they both use the sealed bearing type hub not to be confused with the VN - VP hubs which have a tapered bearing setup.
Bishop.
thankyou
ill go and hide in my little corner now
hehehe
sorry bishop
