Its got Girlock calipers and fluted disc's on the fron end. Im guessing thats just stock, and solid disc's with the stock calipers on the back.

I was wondering what kind of upgrades you can do....Do newer model calipers or disc's fit right on? Never really had a problem with the brakes, it's just that its a skeleton right now as im restoring it and it would be simple to do now if it wasn't extremly expensive.

To upgrade from here is probably going to cost some dollars.
The Commodores rotors have different stud PCD's and require suitable wheels, calipers, ect.

I'm no expert on the older Holdens so maybe someone else may jump in with a fix.

An easy option for better braking is slotted rotors.

I upgraded the brakes on my HQ to replacement DBA Gold cross-drilled and slotted rotors with Bendix Ultimate pads on standard calipers. It's pretty much a bolt-on job and makes a huge difference in stopping power.

How much would the above cost?

2x$140 for the rotors
2X$80 for the pads
bearings etc.

You're looking at around the $400-500 dollar mark depending on if you can get the parts at trade price (if you're a mechanic or you know someone who is).
