View Full Version : Remote Brake Boosters
Howdy,
Just requiring some information on remote brake boosters. I need to move the already existing brake booster from the firewall for it is restricting the size of turbo I can have. i am wanting to place a master cylinder on the firewall and have the brake booster elsewhere in the engine bay. Has anyone done this? what problems exist in doing this? What time would be expected to complete this project.

Hi
The problem you have is that remote boosters are single line which means you will only be able to take one line from the M/cyl and feed the remote booster.
Call me on 1300 55 66 40 coz there is another way but I need to know more about the vehicle before we can consider it.

I'm not so sure!
I guess if you fit it in conjunction with a brake specialist, we can usually come up with the safest & best alternatives.

Thanks,
Ill give you a call in the next couple of days.

If you are doing what you think you are doing!!
Don't use the sigma turbo exhaust manifold and you will not need a remote booster.
A mate of mine has a LA lancer with a turbo 2.6 EFI, he made a low mount turbo manifold fo his. It fits a GT35R on it with minor inner guard mods.
He now has a sigma booster and a 1 inch commode Master cyl.
In the future I will be getting a custom made exhaust manifold and have it set up for garette turbos.
