I have a problem with my power brakes and a lack of vacuum. I have fitted a Vacuum canister, and this has helped a little bit.
Maybe someone here can help me with this.
I want to fit bigger brakes later on, but there isn't much point if i dont have the vacuum to operate them.
Any Ideas?

Diesel Hilux or Landcruiser Alternator. These bad boy's are not cheap, but come with a built in vacuum pump.

I found out that those disel alternators can't be rev'd past 5000 engine Rpm. So that rules those out. Any other ideas?

5000 Engine RPM = ?????? Whatever you want it to
Put a bigger pulley on the front of it!!! Rice boys pay big $$$ for underdrive pulley kits. You get less parasitic losses. Downside is your alternator won't charge real well at idle.
The vacuum pump will still do its job though, it will evacuate the booster when you rev it and the check valve will hold the vacuum.

2 things spring to mind
1. Electric vaccuum pump....we have supplied these for Chev suburbans before...they don't run a vacuum supply for the booster as they run a hydaulic unit...so to fit trailer brakes you fit the pump down the back near the towbar.
2. Fit a balance bar assy and twin master cylinders like racecars have and you don't need a booster at all.

Thanks for the help guys...I think the electric pump is the best option.
How much are these pumps that you fit to suburbans?
What do yo do for a living Datto.
