Hi,

i have a 1984 toyota sprinter (AE86), i have fitted 310mm front rotors with S4 RX7 calipers, crown diff with MR2 rear ventilated discs / calipers,

the car is running stock sprinter booster, master cylinder, lines, and proportioning valve. Also the sprinter originally had drum brakes on the rear.

The problem i have is under braking the back left wheel locks up,
i have no idea where to start trouble shooting, any advice is appreciated.

Regards
Adam.

how about a brake proportioning valve, think its illegal but what can ya do.
could you please give more info on your front brake setup? did you buy the conversion as a kit or did you source the calipers and rotors seperately and fabricate your own mounting?

He bought them setup as they are from trading post from a wrecked sprinna.

I would investigate what the Japanese four wheel disk brake Sprinter used for a master cylinder.

Rear drum type masters will tend to cause rear brakes to lock as they have a non return flap to hold the fluid in the rear line to prevent the drum shoes retracting too far.

If the Jap Sprinter one is hard to get then I would look at a master cylinder off another toyota which ran rear disks.
