I have a 1984 IT 200 for sale, for $450, I've had it for 2years and been to most trail rides since just using it for something to learn on. I haven't had one major problem with it since. If interested my email address is skerman83@hotmail.com

its a IT 200 yamaha

wouldn't have a clue about km, all speedo gear and stuff like that was taken off before i had it, it isn't in a condition to be road registable it would only be good for a trail bike, so yeah whether your still interested or not i don't know, its blue and im based near Dalby, (an hour west from toowoomba, near where kaimkillenbun/quinlow/bunya trail rides are held. Its in a good enough condition for a trail ride, ei, tyres have got tred left, sprokets are good, mechanically ok. It depends what your friend wants the bike for if he was keen to learn to trail ride you can't go wrong the IT's are renouned as being a tough bike, however as i said its in no condition to be registered.

hope that helps u.

I know you were probably waiting to hear it but... if you want something reasonable, I'd be looking at $2-3k. You'll get something that's mechanically excellent, that's maybe been dropped (cosmetic damage only) so you don't have to worry about doing it yourself!! If you're after a road/trail, then things are different, but I'm not sure what you want.

Aah ok. QUT @ Gardens Pt? I remember having to park my car there a few years ago and wishing I had a bike...

If it's only for around town I'd consider a scooter or a small road bike (nakeds like CB250 sell for almost nothing). A dirt bike would be fun too but trust me, road riding chews knobby tyres in NO TIME!
