help needed with fitting new pads

help me please neone. I'm not real good with mechanics and stuff.
I need to know how to decompress the brake clamp thingy that goes over the pads so i can put new ones in....at the moment it is even to tight to get the old ones back in....if it's ne help it's a rx4 thanks..

just press the pistons back in lightly with a g-clamp or similar. they don't need much force. I like to use the old pad in place so the clamp doesn't damage anything!

some calipers (eg my Mazda, an MX-5), require an allen-key to retract the rear calipers. It's hidden under a bolt on the inside of the caliper. using a clamp can damage them, so check first exactly what your car needs.
