ZA-ZB fairlane drum brakes
XK-XR faclon drum brakes
Hillman Hunter
FJ-HR drum brakes
HB torana
R-S series valiant
AP5+6 drum brakes
Leyland mini

most of these cars were retrofitted with these units. Some were factory fitted.
There are many types of VH44
Some have letters after them to denote different diaphragms, bore sizes, power outputs.

What are you intending on fitting it too? Maybe I can help suggest a unit.
New ones are still avail too. More expensive but if you don't have one it might be a better option than searching for the right one.

Thanks, dattoman. This booster is a suggested replacement (just one) for the twin remote boosters on my 1973 BMW 2002, which takes up space in the engine bay.

The 44 would be a good replacement.
A local BMW specialist was doing the same thing when he needed units.
You know the original units can be repaired right ?

My current boosters are OK. The problem is they take up a lot room so I'd prefer to swap the dual boosters for a single booster if possible.

Your suggestions on a suitable unit would be welcome.

can't you relocate them to the spare wheel well in the boot ?
The VH44 is about the same size as the orig BMW units so theres no rear space saving there.
The only other way is to mount a small booster like a 180B on the firewall with a different master cylinder and delete the 2 remotes completely.

Thanks. I'll look at some of the other options you mentioned.
