Yes you can buy blank ones
same part # as normal except you add a "U" to the end for undrilled
DBA016U
I supplied these to someone recently to do a gemini rear disc conversions.
Worked a treat
They should be the same price as normal ones @$60-80 each approx.

From what the guy told me you replace the original wheel bearing with the commodore disc brake wheel bearing. All the same from VB-VR non IRS
He bolted the whole backing plate straight on and threw the disc on....sweet....straight on fit.
Give Trevor at BDA a call for the discs. He probably doesn't have them in stock so they will be a special order out of DBA but that shouldn't take too long to get

I think....and don't quote me on it......the disc brake bearings are wider. I really don't know whay they used them as I didn't do the fit up. I just know he told me this is what he did. He also used Gemini axles.

I don't really know why. But I guess if Holden had different bearings for disc and drum there was probably a reason.I guess It just makes sense to use the disc one since your using discs.
Have you bolted it up yet ?
Is it as easy as I was told ?

yeah its all bolted up, but no axels in as there 4 stud and the disks are 5 stud, i have to wait till i get the new 4 stud disks to see what its like but the "internal drum" and calaper and disk all fit straight on as if it was ment to be there

shhhhhhh
don't tell everyone or they will all want rear disc on their geminis.
Makes an easier conversion than trying to fit a piazza rear end hey ??
I think even the handbrake cables are a close match

very close, had a bit of a look, a small braket to hold the handbrake cable to be made, or even the VL braket will work.
only thing is geting a LSD in ther now  ( i was told the vlt LSD center fits. but i doubt it will suit the gemini axels?
i think the LSD is the main reason for the piazza rear-end
Gene,
The VL disks you have, what condition are they in??? And how much did the other stuff cost ya??? Obviously it was all an easy fit up. I may be able to get all the bits off a VK for like $100. Cheers man...

did u wanna buy the disks cos they suit your 5 stud fronts ;) lol
email me at nismogemini@hotmail.com
and i wil organise some pics, theres nothign wrong with em
Do ya know how worn they are??? I'll let ya know, depends on the condition of the ones i'm gettin off the VK, all i remember of them is they were rusted. Did ya end up gettin in touch with Whiteline about the swaybar install pics???

there get a bit of surface rust, nothing bad.
yeah it turns out they gave me a front sway bar and a front adjustable sway bar instead of a rear, so now i have 2 fronts LOL.
i will sell the non adjustable and keep the adjustable. and will have to buy a rear

Not soap shoes actually, inline skates... My mate had a set of soap shoes and the plastic plate broke off, very fun but...
