Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me with this.

I have the following rotors - DBA069BSL and DBA069ASR, and I want to know if they are kangaroo paw ventilation, or curved vane ventilation.

I emailed DBA, over a week ago, and haven’t heard anything back yet.

The rotors are currently installed as they are curved vane, and I just want to confirm that they are on correctly.

The rotors you have are curved vane
They are easy to tell if they are fitted correctly by one of 3 methods.
1. They are labelled left and right on the box
2. They have little "L" or "R" stickers on them when you take them out of the box
3. They have cast on them in letters about 1/2" high on the inside near the centre which says "LEFT" or "RIGHT"

Not all DBA rotors are Kangaroo paw yet as it costs alot of time and money to change all the 1000 or so casting boxes to the new design.
Eventually all locally made DBA rotors should be this design - even the motorsport ones.

As long as your vanes are pointing the right way then you'll be O.K.
The slots don't care which way they point. Take a look at the 330mm discs on the R8. they are all the same slot design no matter which side of the car they are on. I guess the ABS compensates for Holdens mistake.

Thanks heaps for that.

:D

They didnt have stickers on them, and my silly mechanic pulled them out of the box and put them next to each other on the bench and couldnt remember which box he took them out of.
