FM expander install in Soarer????

Gday

I'm trying to install an FM expander in a Soarer (the one without the TV).

I pulled the dash off, finally, and got the stereo out.

When I pulled the aerial wires out, there were two of them. I plugged an FM expander onto one of them, hooked up the power wire to the ciggy lighter.

I left the other aerial unplugged.

When I put it all back together, it hadn't made a squat of difference.

What is the correct procedure for getting this to work???

haha yeh that's the one :D

ok that one has a amplifeied antenna. and diversity tuning ( second plug -smaller one) you have the right apporach it. make sure you plug the single pin plug on the antenna back in.

so if I plug the other plug back in the radio should work?

have I attached the FM expander to the right lead do you think .. I think I plugged it into the lead closest to the edge of the unit, not the inner one - the inner one is hanging loose. Though it could be the other way round I can't remember :D
