Decided that I can have gene outdoing me in brake specs, so I need to go rear discs. Now the 016 is the usual upgrade but for the sake of the wank value, tell me about clubsport live axle 020s... What caliper? what pad? How dificult is it to upgrade a commodore from the 016 to the 020? Do we know if the backing plates are the same?

One last final note, how do 037s differ, I mean apart from the double stud pattern and 0.5 additional thickness? Why did holden update the specs?

The 016 and 037 are the same except for the number of stud holes and the 036 and 036B have the same deal.
The was a bit of fizz arsing with the hand brakes and access to the hand brake adjustment screws so they put more holes in.

Same diameter
020 is vented as you know
They can both go on same backing plate
Piston diameter is larger with the caliper that suits 020
Same pad can be used in either.

On a Gemini it wouldn't be worth going vented. Cost outlay wouldn't provide enough performance benefits to make it viable in my opinion.

Caliper isn't avail as aftermarket part to my knowledge so you'd have to source it from a wrecked HSV

Ta for that guys, excellent as always... Shame that wrecked HSVs aren't particularly thick on the ground. I'm well aware that the ventilated rotor is a complete and utter wank on a gemini... but what can I say.. I'm a bit of a wanker.

You can use a Nissan 2 piston rear caliper for this application.
Needs brackets etc, but will allow you to replace the 016 with an 020
