Hi All,

After reading the past posts, I'm contemplating the following to my s14:

* DBA slotted disc for front, stock for rear

EDIT: (can someone tell me the price diff b/w longlife and club spec 4000? thanks)

* Castrol SRF
* Ferodo ds2500 for front, something average for rear

I'm in Melbourne.

Couple of questions for you:

1. what's a _reasonable_ price to pay for material and labour for tha above? I'm not looking for bargains here - it's my brakes we are talking about here!!

2. who would you recommend for Melb (metro area pls)?

as you can guess I'm just too busy (lazy) to ring around and ask... :D

Thanks heaps.

Sounds like a good combination.
I'm in Perth so can't recommend anyone in Melbourne.....sorry.
4000 series will add around $80 to the cost of the discs......approx.

The difference!

The DBA long life series of discs is the original range of rotors that has alway been available from DBA. Good quality street discs which have had some advances in design over the last few years.

The 4000 series is the next step up. These rotors are to cater for the performance street and track day enthusiast who needs a product that can handle the temperature and stresses involved with this type of application. It's not just a new paint job, the rotor material is of a different spec.

hmmm.. in that case, if datto's figures are correct (ie ~ $80) then 4000 should be the way to go then?
