Aluminium calipers and helicoils

Probably a stupid question, but can you helicoil the threads for the brake line fittings on aluminium calipers?

provided there's enough material around the thread, I can't imagine why not. Just don't drop the tang inside...

That's good to hear, i called race brakes here in melbourne before buying the helicoil kit and they'd never heard of that being done: :wtf:
And they are supposed to be "professionals". :rolleyes:
