Just watch the caliper body doesn't bump on the spring at full lock
Knockoff is a bitch

my LV ones come mighty close adam, but get hold of Reddez on hotgemini.com and ask him (he has the hopper stopper kit) see if it hits.
u know your off set is how 15mm more wided on each side? with the hopper stopper kit?

Dattoman, the potential problem flagged by Hoppers is the caliper hitting on the lower control arm at full lock. If it does the two options suggested are a lock-stop tacked onto the lower control arm (5mm thick) or a small notch (with reinforcing plate) in the lower control arm.
The new online catalogue is a bit lacking compared to the old 'everything in one PDF', so can someone with access to the paper version tell me the weights of a stock gemini rotor and a VT commodore rotor?
The Gemini standard caliper is almost the same weight (I think just a teensy bit *heavier*) than the VT caliper, which is kinda scary.

I don't know about that... two things. One. My car weighs 950kg. Two. The most power my car has ever had up to this point would be around 130hp at the flywheel.
Actually Hotty, your upgrade looks the goods. And at a modest price I'd guess.

Bolted up a VT caliper to the gemini today, makes the rest of the suspension look so very small. Fortunately the caliper clears my current 15 inch wheels with no hassles, although the plan still calls for custom widened 15 inch steel wheels with grandma spec hub caps. The wheels should have even more clearance once I put the new hubs and rotors on (which moves though wheel mounting face 10mm further outboard).
The caliper does contact the lower control arm at full lock, so I'll be recessing and reinforcing the lower control arm (in preference to a lock-stop).
Also my rear caliper braided hoses have arrived (at the workshop, I'll pick them up at work tomorrow), went for rubber on the fronts on the grounds that they came with the hoppers kit and I want to leave *something* to upgrade later. Once I get the rear hoses I'll start bending up the bundy tubing, because for some strange reason, after only 25 years the original stuff is a bit worse for wear. Not to mention the fact that the factory routing interferes with the new gearlever position.
Interesting times in the hotgem garage.

Oh what a fatslut™ The braided lines are the exact same length as the originals, except the rigid section, particulary at the diff end is longer... meaning the lines are essentially too short.
Now I could send them back, but that will actually take longer, so instead I'm just going to move the little bracket where the hard line meets the hose.
