Or at least I think they are VB/VC/VK Commodore calipers.

I've got a collection of Commodore calipers at home, 'cause they tend to be the standard "upgrade" for rally 180B's. No worries there, except half of them are stamped/cast PBR, and the others Girlock (or is it Girling, I can't remember).

Anyway, I want to rebuild some, and having a pretty good look, they look almost the same. They take the same pads, the pistons appear to be the same size, and they mount up the same.

Are they the same (apart from the name cast into them, obviously)? Does someone have access to a parts book to see if they take the same rebuild kit? I tried to look it up at the local brake shop, but they were about as helpful as a punch in the nose...

Anyone?

While on the bombador callipers subject, what are there stats in relation to sigma callipers....
Ive heard wispers about the commodore caliper being a upgrade for the sigma...is there any truth to it?
Callipers looked the same to me.

Rears are the same
Fronts take the same pad. Difference is commy is vented disc and sigma is solid.
For a sigma upgrade you can always do the magna disc commy caliper or hilux 4 spot.

Thanks for the assistance.

I'll be down to BBS and get a couple of rebuild kits on order. I'm waiting for the prototypes to be proven before I move to the VT 2-spot calipers... or even if I need to after getting some decent pads.

Thaks again.
