View Full Version : Holden Astra Standard Head Unit Question
Does anyone know if the standard Head Unit in a 2002 Holden Astra City (the one with the mini-jack input on the front) can control a CD stacker ?

if you have a pic of it I can tell you in a instant. does it have a mode button on it?
Thanks Chris, I'll try and take a picture of it and post it.
It says "Blaupunkt 420" on the front.
There is a mode button.
When you press it it cycles throught: Radio, Tape and the input on the front (i.e. it has a mini-jack line in on the front).
It doesn't look like it would control a stacker, but the guy in the local audio shop seemed to think it would, but he didn't sound that confident.

ok the 520 does control one. I'll have a dig through some of the blau stuff I have.
a pic of it would be nice tho.
One of these days I'm gonna get a digital camera.
Finally got this roll of film processed.

that one doesn't do it. most of the euro items ( VDO & Blau) do plug directly into your factory haness btw. does the car have steering wheel controls. if so I can make them work.
Thanks Chris.
Cross that idea off then.
I park in the street and theft is really bad around here.
I don't want a new head unit because it will get stoled guaranteed.
Next year maybe I'll have a new house with a garage and a new car to put in it worth upgrading.
