I have a 1" VR commo master cyl that is too close to exhaust and has melted the plastic reservoir. Any ideas on how to fit a remote reservoir to it? The actual reservoir shouldn't be hard to find (out of a commercial) but I'm hoping there is a way I can actually plumb it to the master.

Thanks

if its that close it wasted the exhaust you'll probably have problems with seals melting and fluid boiling too

resi from whatever
Hose from resi
plastic adaptors (elbows) from mazda master cylinder pushed into rubber grommets

get a new one and cover it in heat shielding. the silver stick on stuff.

if it still melts then, heat wrap your exhaust too.

if it still melts after that then there is something seriously wrong..

Thanks to you both.
To elaborate further the exhaust is HPC coated and I intend to make a heat sheild to protect the setup in future. However with a heat shield in place it will become quite inaccessable to service so the remote seems to be best answer. ie future heat sheild around existing master and reservior mounted away from heat.

Can you elaborate on which mazda master cyl I can get the plastic elbows from?

try vans

i am using a later model urvan remove fluid resi on the datto

try toyotas, nissans, and isuzu van...they are normally in great nick for this kind of stuff, as it sits under the dash for most of its life!
