The master cylinder for the Mitsubishi Pajero (JB1762), does it have one of those check valves in the rear line? Does the Pajero have drums or discs on the back? I've been running of of these in my KE35 Corolla for a bit, with drums, haven't had an issue, and have just upgraded to rear discs and am wondering if I need to do anything to the master cylinder to make it suitable for discs...

Thanks :)

Out of interest, what does the check valve really do? To my understanding it keeps the rear drums pressurised slightly, is that right? I was running the JB1762 in both my red KE55 and my white KE35, both had drums on the back but I never had an issue with the brakes... I'm guessing it was put there to serve some sort of purpose, but I can't see what?

Holds 10lb line pressure in the rear brakes.
To counteract slightly the pressure of the springs
It bleeds back pretty fast though
Not all vehicles used this system though
