Its only been a couple of weeks and already I'm edgey to get on the plane to Melbourne come March...
Who'd you rekon will partner Webber ? For me I hope its Coulthard (Free Serices :))
Think Webber will podium Melbourne ?
I'm also hope'n that we have two Aussies on the grid, with Briscoe, can only hope.
Another Ferrari whitewash in 2005 ?
I think next season will be one to remember.....
On the back of a poor year (even though milestones were reached last year) usually comes a good year. it always comes around no matter what the nay-sayers say. Toyota are supplying Jordan with engines, Red Bull have bought Jaguar and some yanks have bought Cosworth (who will continue to supply Minardi).
Briscoe driving might have been part of the deal at Jordan Toyota. If I were Eddie Jordan, it would be a better deal for both engines and driver than some pay driver that punts the car off half way through the race.
I wouldn't be so optimistic as to predict a Webber podium in the first race. Williams have sacked their aerodynamics person and promoted a guy from in house. This could go one of two ways but in house experience might be something to build on.
The rule change caught Ferrari out in 2003, I kind of hope it does again. Then again I would like the british to catch up fair and square.
I'm learning not to get my hopes up before the Euro races each year......so with that in mind....Webber to win from Kimi and JPM.
Seriously though, MacLaren need desperately to respond, not only because JPM will not tolerate mechanicals half as quietly as Kimi does.

If Webber can't manage a couple of podiums this year at least, then I doubt he deserves that seat.
I'm not expecting him to win his first race, but next year will be his fourth year, his no new comer anymore, Williams, in my opinion, even in a off year should produce a car worthy of podiums at some stage during the course of the season.
Wanna see how webber goes at Williams... I reckon some good things will happen in 2005
schumacher to win yet another world championship...

I think Ferrari will come home with the goods again however I think mclaren will also be a lot better based on the form of their 'new' car and the fact they don't have DC anymore.
Webber will surely bag a few podiums, as for who ends up as his team mate is anyones guess. Williams are testing heidfield shortly, and but maybe they'll go for pizzonia again? it'll be amusing if webber polishes off pizzonia again, after some of the crap that jungle boy said during the year about his 'mistreatment" at jag.
I also pick sauber as doing a lot better! not so much because of JV, but their car has been steadily getting better and better ever since they built that wind tunnel.
I predict also that renault will fall back further.
I'm not really that sure that Toyota's lineup for 2005 is the best they have had in their F1 life but as a factory team with budget equivalent to Ferrari they really should be making inroads, or beat Jaguar(Red Bull) for the first time in the WCC!
Testing starts today boys and girls.

Ferrari sign Gene as a tester? hmmm...
Gene is a good test driver. He is quick, consistent and keeps it on the track. Racing however is another matter.........what? Did someone say Pizzonia? :D
I don't get why people say 'he is a good test driver' . What is that supposed to mean, he can putt around consistently and give good feedback? Any driver that is worthy of a top race seat has to be able to do that and race. Giving engineers feedback is as much part of a top driving job as being fit, PR duties and driving fast.
You just answered your own question zac.
"Any driver that is worthy of a top race seat has to be able to do that and race."
Gene isn't worthy, and neither is Pizzonia IMHO. But they are still fast and good for testing, and that's where they should both be.
Well it's the same thing as saying he is only good as a test driver without the negativity. I just thought it would be better with race drivers in the test seat. I guess that could support the theory that a car on the track (testing) is more important than the driver in it.
