Hey guys,
why dont we start a thread of up and comming club events thread for all to see, it could include just some interesting things you saw at a meeting, if you competed and how you went, when a upcoming event is on and contact details etc etc.
Could be anthing from a motokhana to autocross, bitumen sprints, hill climbs etc etc.

I'll start,
On Easter sat i competed in the Bendigo sale yard dash (motokhana), there where about 33 entries with all variaties of cars, from Turbo 180sx, 260Z with a VG30det, Twim cam early corolla's etc. The day consisted of 6 courses run 2 times, havn't got any results yet but i will be sure to post them up as soon as i get them.

Please keep this thread goin guys as it could be a very interesting and informatative thread for all to enjoy.
Regards
Travis Robson.

OK.

This weekend, there's a NSW Clubman Rally around Oberon, run by the Nissan Datsun Drivers Club. The rally will start and end at Black Springs, and the service park will be there too.

There's a pretty broad range of cars entered from Evo 6s to 1300cc Escorts.

When I can stop worrying about the next magazine I will get the website up and running for race. I had planned a state by state calendar...I assume this would be helpful?

Nero,
that sounds great, lets still keep this goin as im sure you will agree the more people who read/see/interested in the sport the better it is for all of us, keep up the great mag & still waiting on the phone call regarding the white IPRA sunny coupe from the motorsport expo!! :D
More news: unofficially the IPRA sunny coupe looks has finished 1-2 at the Bendigo saleyard dash, not sure if i beat the owner in his own car or not!! This is unofficial at the moment, will post a official result once it is published

I came 1st outright with Tony Skinner 2nd, Both Tony & I competed in The IPRA Datsun Sunny coupe I built for Tony last year.
Is it O.K. to beat the bloke you built the car for in competition?, hope so or i'm out of a job, he he.

June 10th weekend (queens birthday)
Vic state racing series at Phillip island:ipra, porche 944 formula ford, HQ's etc.
Worth the trip, always a good meet with some great close racing.
I think also Bega has the VIC/NSW rally championship round. This is an awesome rally with some of the best from Vic and NSW going head to head for outright honours. Keep an eye out for a Carl Stewart in the Blue/Yellow datto 1600 he has been keen to do this rally for a while and is very quick.
Cheers Trav

Last year I dead-heated with Carl at Bega, which sounds pretty good until you realise that he had the coil lead fall off in the first stage, and had to get out of the car to put it back on, and that it kiled the coil so he did the rest of the shire road stages with a mis-firing spluttering car...

Should be a cracker of an event, like always.

Spac,
I saw the in car footage of the coil lead fall of and beleive me, that was a "not very happy Jan" part of the day for Carl, your right too after the coil lead fell of it killed the coil so like you said the car was spluttering.
When Carl and i got our licences we visited the occasional dirt road!!!
Lots of fun
I was servicing for Andrew Vibert in the Little green KE-35 Corolla from Vic at Bega 2 years ago and we finished 2nd in 2WD to Tony Porter i think his name was. Awesome roads but we made a poor tyre choice a shit it was hard on tyres, from memory we killed a set of rear tyres in a 18-20km stage on the shire roads.

If your competing at BEGA again SPAC, best of luck with it.
