How many litres do they burn up in a typical 100km run in the city and in the country?

Give me some numbers for both 2 and 4 stroke bikes, shit and good examples...

4 Stroke CBR250R here

13L tank, gets me about 250kays (roughly) - there is no fuel guage on them so it makes it a little difficult to tell when your empty. So I fill up everytime the odo hits 200kays.

If i ride gently into work (city traffic) every week, i can fill up for about 8 - 9 dollars (95c a litre) after 200kays.

I have found though, even giving it a good caining for 200 clicks in the mountains or something, there is still 2.5 - 3L left in the tank after 200kays, so fuel economy is pretty good.

Just remember 250s are carbys, so if you dont keep them tuned they will run like shit.

2 stokes are similar to rotaries. they chew. i used to go through around 8/9 L in 150 to 200 km or so. depending on floggage and they LOVE being flogged

edit 2stroke Kawasaki KR1-S, 1992 model I think, whatever the good lookin black and green one was

Ridden in anger I got about 320km before reserve on my GPX 250. A lot more when it was ridden politely!

Ridden much the same my GPX 600 was about 220km before reserve, or 250km on a gentler ride.

Ridden like a granny my GPZ900 gets about 200km before I have to go looking and I reckon it'd be dry at about 230km.

Aprilia RS250:

On the track about 90-100km's from ~15 litres

On the road ("spirited" riding) 200km's from ~15 litres

Plus a litre of expensive 2 stroke oil every 500k's too...

More expensive to run than my car per kilometre (if including 2 stroke oil) but a lot more fun.

I get on average 19.5 km / ltr :D

And I don't ride all that sedately (well I do on suburban roads)

I gotta ZZR250 when I first bought it I got 400km before hitting reserve and it's got an 18L tank, now days get about 350km before I hit reserve, my brother has an RGV250 and he gets 120km til it's bone dry, the strokers are thirsty.
