Trainee Valuer
Inchcape Automotive Retail is one of Australia’s largest automotive groups with extensive retail operations across Sydney and Melbourne. We are currently seeking a trainee valuer to join our Inchcape Automotive Procurement team, based initially at our Denlo Parramatta site but will also involve travelling to other branches.
The Trainee Valuer role will see the candidate trained in all aspects of used vehicle wholesale operations, with the view to placing the candidate in a Valuer / Buyer role within 9-12 months.
The initial responsibilities of the Trainee Valuer will include:
· The appraisal and valuation of all potential trade-in vehicles at our Denlo Parramatta site.
· Management of inventory logistics.
· The acquisition of private vehicles through managing advertisement and new car sales leads.
· Developing and implementing strategic and operational plans for the acquisition of vehicles from the private market.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
· Strong team and interpersonal skills
· A focus on action and results
· Sound computer skills
· A strong customer focus
· The ability to perform in an unsupervised work environment
Business related tertiary studies and a current drivers licence will be highly regarded.
The role would suit a recent university graduate looking to develop a career within the automotive industry. Previous motor industry experience is not required.
The hours for this role will vary based on an 11-day fortnight roster including every weekend. Award wages are offered with a commission structure introduced in due course.
