well i sold my r31 last week
so i was down a fun car
so after a few vb's a cunning plan was unleashed to the world
im a 31 man and i must say s13 are camp so i had to do something about it buy injecting some r31 love into the s13
ill update this as itgoes with helpfully tips for the little dooers out there
anyway the plan
stage one
1992 s13 sr20de auto silvia (check the miss's was away for a week so she didnt mind me floogging her car)
stage two
drop a running rb30e into the silvia and rip some burnouts
stage 3
drop a gtr head onto the old girl and some f**k off 350 hp high mount tiwns
time frame is about one month so heres hoping it all goes well
runing progresss 10/4/06
stage two
picked up a manual conversion for a s13
this one dropped in no dramas
quick rundown of the parts
r32 gts crossmember
r31 rb30e engine
rb20 sump
rb30 power steering pump
r32 gtr radiator
gtr clutch
two thermo fans
modified bonnet
basically the engine is in and running
this week we will plumb it up and add a surge tank for stage three
the engine does stick out of the bonnet a fair bit but this shouldnt be an issue when the gtr head is on
sorry only got a few picks
im hoping it rips a mean skid
untill next weekend ill upload a vid why rb30 should have always been in s13 (burnouts)

FARK YEAH! A good big one is always going to better than a good little one. This car will probably do a 14.9 with just the stock RB30E and the short gearing will make for some good burnouts :D Not much will have a chance against it when its finished thats for sure.

There is nothing stupid about fitting a scoop so you can ram a massive engine under the hood!
(i'm sure you have seen this) But this one looks sweet and is there for the same reason as why you need one.

yea ive had a stock r31 (extractors) run a 15.3
this thing feels like a 14.9
lsd = locked one
oh yea and from my r31 experience this engine has some extra ponies than a stocker

lost the brakes and teh suspension was shagged
but went well
water temps didnt go abouve 95d so that was a bonus

nos in just need to fill the bottle to go for gold now
also did a track day at wakefield 205 simex tyres 2 degrees neg camber = 1.16.3 lap time (brakes are dead again and i have to change the rotors cause i chewed them out)
oh yea machining the simmons fr18 with slicks so i can use them at ec in a few weeks
im hoping to have lap times for all track for stage one (NA) and a drag time before the new engine goes in

stock 83 rwkw (they only came with 114kw standard.. mind you they make up for it with grunt torque form 1500rpm) but off when compare to a newer engine they are shit
extractor timing and exhaust they punch 105rwkw
so i might be up around the 100 but stuffed if im going to pay 50 bux to find out

My advice would be to spend less money on "David from BB06" style shirts and scarfs and spend more on dyno time.

have the 3 litre twin turbo motor ready to roll... but want to see what will happen with the single camer before i shoe horn some gtr lov into the s13

The Silivia is back from CSKyles place and is ready to be dyno'd. It's got an appointment with Dr Drift in 2 weeks or so.
In the mean time Petes brought a R31 GTS1 and is putting a RB26DETT setup on the RB30 bottom end. That's going to be his daily so it's getting done faster.
