I have a Nimbus brake booster in my R31 which is has a master cyl of 15/16 in diameter. I plan to fit 4 spot calipers on the car and have been warned I will get shitty pedal travel and should upgrde the size. Does anyone know of a common 1" unit I might be able to bolt on?

is 1" really that much bigger than a 15/16 MC?

You reckon its still going to be too small? A mate has R33GTSt 4 spots on his cobra with a 1" master cyl and he reckons it has a best padal feel in the cobra club... How big are later modle skyline units? I am not going for the big calipers (R32 GTR or R33GTSt) that fit on the large disc.

R32 GTS-t M spec, Z32 300zx VG30DETT and S15 200sx turbo have 4 piston calipers just smaller rotors 280mm instead of 296mm. Im not sure of the piston size is smaller than the R33GTSt or R32 GTR, but I was thinking if 1" was OK in my mates cobra it should be fine for me no?

I was just thinking of how much difference there will actually be thats all

inch = 506.4mm area
15/16= 445.1 mm area

so I guess yeah a ten perecent increase will be noticable as I understand a smaller mc gives more feel at the expense of pedal travel.
The gains or in your case loss in staying with your 15/16 may not be that great? someone smarter will either back me up or tell me to stfu

Legend! I thought one of these cars might be my ticket. Anyway my car has a 7/8th stock, so the 15/16 is already bigger. I will see how it goes, I may not need a bigger one.
