Anyone here a, or know, of a Brembo dealer worth talking to.

I can get a kit specific to the E30 M3 in the states supplied via Brembo. It includes (2) 4 piston calipers, (2) one piece rotor (330mm x 28mm), the carrier brackets w/ mounting bolts (brackets are anodized black aluminum), new Goodridge front brake lines. I realise the brake lines would probable have to go due to ADR's bit that doesnt concern me. I have ADR approved braided ones all round anyway. I can get this kit for $1750USD shipped.

Just thought I might see what I can get them through a Brembo dealer here.

http://www.mercurymotorsport.com.au/ Newmarket rd, Wilston. They recently became an authorised Brembo dealer. I've dealt with them for several years and they have almost always given me impressive deals (that is not to say I haven't had my share of disagreements with them and on one or two occassions been messed around).

However, you could probably get it cheaper from OS yourself.

Barrie Smith Motorsport is the biggest
Take the US price and triple it for a landed price here inc paying proper taxes etc

Dave, if it helps...

The cost to ship my brake kit from Canada was about $500 AUD, by air (arrived in like 7 days), including duty etc.

Speak to Johnny, Martin or Nick "Bates who can't drive" Bates. They'll look after you.

racebrakessydney@unwired.com.au but dattoman is right when he says triple the price and taxes and then we need to make some money on that but thats the way it is.

why? if the components are produced in the US we do not pay any duty on the parts as part of the free trade agreement. All you are hit with is GST plus any customs clearencing fee's.

Triple the price? Is that if you buy through a local retailer?

Otherwise I can't see how approximately 30% tax/duty tops (I would have thought) plus at the most a couple of hundred in shipping, could possibly come to "triple the price" if you buy direct from the states?

Is it still linked to RB in Melbourne?
I aven't seen jack about RB Sydney for a while. I just remember the ads in Auto Action saying it was closed. I'm not trying to spread rumours, but the advertising of it being open for the last 10 months has sucked ass.
