It been happening for a while on a worn set and also the new set of pads every now and again i find the car wont roll down a slight hill and it pulls up like the brakes are slightly on . Firstly i thought rears but they are fine and today i worked out it was the fronts . The car is a VL 5ltr fitted with the twin spot corvette caliper and 330 mm rotor , they have been on the car for 2 years and the car is used mainly for club sprints .

What am i looking for ? bent brackets , worn seals??

Pads sticky in the caliper ...... possibly due to taper wear and they are not sitting square
That caliper relys on the pads to hold it together..... and one slide pin
The pads don't move very freely in the housing and can bind up

Turned out to be a damaged piston in each caliper apperently its a little common in these brakes when abused on the track

thanks

I'd say they're more likely to be damaged when they are having their pads changed..

The pads sit pretty tight in the slots. They would have to move a fair bit to damage the pistons? I've never heard of that. Dattoman?

Aluminium pistons
They corrode with sitting around and get scratched pretty easy

Can replace with steel ones but alittle heavier
