Here is my work in progress guys. Carried over from Toymods.
The car is a 1988 G Limited Supercharges MR2 AW11

Mods on it, afaik are:
Enkei RP-01 Wheels 15"
"Low Down" suspension
Exhaust
Intercooler
Bucket seat

The car Jumps on a boat today, to arrive in Sydney on the 26th of (July)
I had to take a gamble, and make the decision to buy it, based on these two pictures alone!

Im yet to even see the engine bay yet, but the condition of the exterior and interior look quite good. These pictures were sent today of it, about to get on the ship.

Did a bit of work on the rust, Fix the back half of the car with rust, and also patched a nasty hole up underneath!

Took the rear tailights and numberplate holder out. Was quite clean except for the lip that holds teh rubber.

Took the left rear mould around teh window and vent out, where the worst of the rust outside was.

Great! My circle of friends had 4 at one stage! Two red, one white and one dark blue.

Out of interest, was the rust mentioned in the auction report?

Mutherbitches! Bet that was a bit of a downer when you inspected the car in the metal for the first time. top job on repairing all of it though. Rust scares me, but you go at it full force. Brave boy.

Yeah MA70, wasnt too happy. Its all almost fixed now tho, only thing is around the headlights, and all teh rust is fixed! Ill be doing that this week.

Pisana, only pics I have atm, bout $1200.

psi: LSD :D And also, I am not a fan of Supercharger! It makes sweet fuck all top end power..a stock DC5R pulls away, even after these mods. Not to worry, ive collected all the parts to convert it to Turbo: Manifold, dump pipe, lines, S15 turbo, ST205 Water/Air Cooler, 7m injectors. Only thing is i need a pump, and we will be right to go!

Mmm AW11 goodness, I was also a lil annoyed at the lack of power from my ZE though I was coming from a 180AWKW vr4, now I dont mind the ZE too much.

27-11-06, 06:46 PM
Yeah, maybe its that, Ive come from a 247rwkw Supra and 230rwkw IS200 down to this.

Dude, you have done a fine job. The rust in the car is expected for about that age. I can't say I would have had that much time and patience to spare. Interesting choice in the AW11, out to build your own Elise!

MR-PUNANNY
01-12-06, 07:37 AM
thanks man, its no EVO, but its fun! The car is need of a paint j ob, so i had to get this done asap! Im glad its done now, weight off my shoulders! Maybe it will handle better now at the track! aha

Evo_Lee
01-12-06, 08:18 AM
You don't have to have an Evo to have fun. But I am sure once you get used to the tail happy AW11, light RWD are so much fun.

I've had just as much fun in these as well, Bill will agree I am sure.
A mate went from his BNR32 (broken engine on the track) to one of these, spending less money (probably not in restoration cost) and having just as much fun.
