The Starlet

In 1998 I lived in Auckland and saw these funny little cars running around. Turned out the were the early Starlets and are RWD. I found a good one and liked it enough to spend the money to bring it back to Aus with me.
Just before I put it on the ship though, I crashed it a bit and had to do a quick repair to make it driveable.
It's been gutted as is still sitting at home waiting for an engine.

It's getting AE-86 struts, and a five-link rear end as the stock one is only a four link and not very good.

The shell is mostly ready to go, just needs a good tidy-up and a few things sorted here and there, then painted. It'll be a strong yellow colour with dark charcoal wheels.
It's getting a ~240hp 4AFE screamer engine, close-ratio gearbox, 4.8:1 LSD, etc.

It'll also be getting at some point two other engines, a 7AGTE 20v and a Suzuki V6 2.7 litre. The V6 will then go into the rally car.

bill, have you considered satchell link rear suspension for this thing? apparently it is a good thing, id like to use it on something but i have noticed my left rear tyre wore out faster than all the others, so i dont like live axle anymore.

i have taken the liberty of designing it, sorry for not using MS paint

That's kinda what they have from the factory, and they're pretty poor with regard to roll steer. They work just fine if you stop the car rolling much though, of course.

Yep, there are certain types of 'F' head that're much better than any 'G' head. They're not common but they're excellent and I'll be showing what a well-built one is capable of.
A mate of mine in Holland has built one that's quite similar and it makes 248hp at the flywheel at 9,000rpm.

22.5deg in the F head, 45deg in the G head. That's only a rough rule, for example the 20v head is more like 35deg or so I think.
F1 engines use around 15deg or so.

I like it. Looks kinda like an ever-so-slightly later version of the Mirth Mobile (AMC Pacer). Oh and Magnums FTW. :D
