Automatic to Manual Conversion underway!

Stripped the frontcut too having a engine and box on mounts.

Need to source a manual tailshaft, or have the automatic extended or shorten and balanced.

The go at the the moment is too use the manual ecu from the frontcut and bridge the inhibator (auto switch thingy)....

Fingers crossed - manual in 2-3weeks!

If the wiring in the RX7 is anything like the same era 626, then you will need to do more then the inhibitor switch. When I converted the 626 to manual, I had to rewire the selector switch to show that the car was in drive and neutral at the same time so that it would start and keep running. I never managed to get the cruise control working, it wanted weird stuff from the computer to work. I'm guessing that the dash has a gear selector on it so it needs to be changed along with the centre console, whilst it is all out, rip out the loom and replace it with the manual loom, it will save hours of headaches with troubleshotting weird issues later on.
