Australian delivered 1995 NA8A

Bought it stock in Sydney, Xmas before last.


Spent a good part of last years weekends preparing it. The interior & boot trim was removed. As was the soft top. The heater, power windows, power mirrors ect were all retained. The passenger seat must also stay under 2F regs. Also, it was always to remain road registered. Below is a complete list of what went into the car in the order it happened. This is taken from a more detailed record of where from and how much, I kept. As you can see, the car is fairly standard really.

Here it is completed in November last year for the logbook photos.



First meeting in November at Phillip Island for the Production Sports 1hr. Managed to win class 2F first time out. :)


The 2nd race the car did was Eastern Creek 1hr, last month. Scored the 2F win once again.



Lap times so far:

Phillip Island 1.55.91
Eastern Creek 1.52.33

We are off to Morgan Park this weekend for the first round of the MX5 Cup.

Not sure about EC times but hot dog is that PI time impressive from an NA mx5!

Looks the business too with those volks (the rear looks like its got as much camber as the fronts!!).

I still feel sad that you used a blue one for the race car, but at least it looks good on the track!

Out of interest... Do you know what offset the Volks are? I'm buying some 6.5 +19 ones and I hope they sit like that

I like it Cal. r u sure u want an FD rx7? seems like you have no trouble beating them in the little mx5.

I know, couldn't believe that. We dusted off 2 of them in the Eastern Creek race. :)

Looks cool, that's a good blue too. Just one of many cars on my wishlist for my next car.

Engine bay pics?

You'd think I would, but I don't have any. Haven't really finished under there anyhow. Needs some polished bits. :) Doesn't really look much different from standard.
