View Full Version : All Motor Rotor Boy
Well with the relaxation (throwing away) of the rules in the All Motor class of SCR my very good friend at Overkill Engineering has started building a 13b full chassis Mighty Boy.
Currently has a 13b bridge port and corona 4 speed but is looking at moving up to a PP once up and running. Apparently I am donating a hilux :( diff to the project.
I think it is over tyred but what do I know :)

How big are those tyres? They look like 28x10 or something around that. Like you that might be a bit big for an All Motor rotor. Unless he is going to run some ridiculously low diff ratio like 5.8.
Even with a low diff it is over tyred. They can run low 8's on 8.5 tyres at more weight than this thing will ever weigh. He'll learn :)

chuck about the tyres, he IS called overkill engineering after all!!!
Looks like he's preparing to go around corners with a wheelbase like that :)
im a drag racing newblet but what difference does it make if he has "over tyred" the car...isnt it good to have more rubber at the back?

When your racing in the ALLMTR class, you only want to be running as big a tyre as needed. Any more and your adding more Rolling Resistance. A lot of the US teams prefer a bit of tyre slip off the line.
