thanks guys, well the new twist of events now, the satria is getting setup with auto... its nearly done, so hoping 2 to 3 weeks time, i hit the track and see what she does and its still on street tyres, not semi's or anything.

so Dale expect a call from me soon to get it dynoed ;)

update. finally the satria is in one piece.

right now the auto only runs 3rd gear, neutral reverse and park. reason for this being is because the electricals for the box have not been attended to yet.

took the satria for a little test run down the road, coasting to about 4k rpm in 3rd gear, then planting the throttle. all i can say is, cant wait to get it to the track....

I spoke to the builder in regards to getting the same box for my lil project and its a relativly simple but effective setup, cant wait to see some times.

Joe let me know if yu are definatly going on wed, and ill chase up those parts for your mates Toyota as well.

well i forgot to post about my run at wsid lol.

last week, managed a best time of 11.4 without the nos.

still have teething probs since the auto, but did not need these issues.

When i arrived at wsid, everything was fine, tested the nos purge before going to line up, and the nos would not work... This still has to be sorted.

I ran it anyway with the nos armed, but the car i believe was over fueled cos no nos was entering the engine. did a 12.5, the engine did not like it so i backed off.

second pass no nos, managed a 11.4@123mph.

lined up for my third pass, and noticed a noise from the engine bay, and then we noticed an oil leak on the floor, that was the end of the night for me.

Found the noise from the engine bay, which was 4 loose converter to flex plate bolts. even thou they had lock tight, they still came loose.

The oil leak is rectified now.

The only issue i have is, i cant get off the line fast enough, with a 60 foot of 1.8, which is slow considering with the manual i did 1.5 60 foots.. I cant get the car to spool hard enough off the line. So my theory is once the nos is running, the car should drop the 60 footers easily. if not i have to figure out how to launch it hard off the line. in any case any suggestions?

general wheel bars are used on fwd's to keep the front wheels down on the ground, instead of transfering the weight to the back wheels.

awds generally dont have that problem, cos all 4's pull the car down the track.

my issue is not traction right now...

so you reckon the nos will fix the issue... thats pretty good. give it a go next time im out.
